Thierry Malet's original score for Tijuana Bible is released via Plaza Mayor Company Ltd. The movie follows the story of Nick, an American veteran injured in Iraq, who lives in Tijuana's red light district. When he meets Ana, a young Mexican girl looking for her missing brother, the two are drawn into the slums of the city which is run by drug traffickers... Dramatic and suspenseful as Thierry Malet's (1910, Paris Sous Les Eaux, L’Oeil du Cyclone, Paris Sous Les Eaux: La Grande Crue) score for Tijuana Bible is, there's a real heart at its core. This is far from atmospheric background music cues - although on first inspection it feels like this. The music is constantly shifting and changing as our protagonists get embroiled ever deeper in the underworld of the city, concluding with a satisfyingly melancholic theme. It won't be to everyones liking, but if tense, atmospheric scores are your thing, you'll find plenty to enjoy here. 7 Darren Rea Buy this item online
