Philadelphia-based dream pop band Suburban Living release How to Be Human via Egghunt Records. There's an '80s vibe to the album's 9 songs (39 min, 36 sec) and so far they've released two singles, 'Main Street' and 'Glow'... How to Be Human is Suburban Living's third album. Those of us of a certain age will get a huge nostalgic trip with the majority of the songs here (but most notably 'Main Street', 'Glow' and 'Indigo Kids') as the presentation is very much in the style of an '80s synth pop band with a little bit of Simple Minds and OMD and Depeche Mode thrown in for good measure. If I had to single out just one track to showcase the album's appeal, I'd have to go with the closing track, 'Once You Go', as it pretty much sums up the band's vibe as well as being their most memorable track here. If you grew up in the '80s then this is an essential purchase. Likewise if you're a fan of dream pop or '80s music in general there is a lot to enjoy here. 8 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
