Anya Marina's new album, Queen of the Night, is her third studio album following Slow & Steady Seduction: Phase II and Felony Flats... Queen of the Night has a beautiful balance of songs. From the earworm style of 'Broken Bottles' (it's catchy but you won't think anything of it until several days later you're humming it in the shower and wondering where you heard it), and the dream pop sensibilities of 'Just Calling'. The album opens on a strong note with the titular 'Queen of the Night' setting the scene for the rest of the album. In all honesty all 14 songs (45 min, 11 sec) are strong and could all be singles in their own right. However 'Queen of the Night' is the one stand out track that you know will be embraced by most. A great album that has so many strengths. 9 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
