Dave Rowntree and Ian Arber's edge-of-your-seat score for The Capture is released via Silva Screen Records. The album, which is available digitally, contains 21 (1 hr, 16 min, 27 sec) engaging tracks.

It's rare that I really get excited by a score that's primarily made up of electronic themes, but there's something about the music for The Capture that just wouldn't work any other way. There are instruments too, but there's quite a bit of electronic manipulation that just adds to the atmosphere and tension of the plot. It's also a score that works incredibly well outside of the project it was composed for.

Mainly comprised of eerie and tension building themes, there's a lot to enjoy here. It really does get under your skin. And while it might not be a score that you'll revisit much in the future, for a modern score it hits all the right notes.
