Sony Music Masterworks releases Cannon Busters: Netflix Original Series Soundtrack, an album of music from Netflix’s original anime series. The release features the show's score written by producer, engineer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Bradley Denniston as well as vocal tracks performed by rapper Marty Grimes and R&B singer-songwriters BJRNCK and Mansa Imani. Cannon Busters explore the land of Gearbolt, as audiences follow a motley crew of travelers on an unforgettable journey to reunite two best friends... For fans of the show, the soundtrack to Cannon Busters has enough quality music to keep you entertained. The album contains 18 tracks (39 min, 44 sec). The majority of the tracks are compositions by Bradley Denniston, with three songs by Marty Grimes, BJRNCK and Mansa Imani. Talking about the project, Denniston says: "When my friend LeSean [producer and director LeSean Thomas] hit me up about Cannon Busters, the anime series he was funding through Kickstarter, it was a no-brainer – I'm in! LeSean is a creative genius who instantly pulled the most eclectic group of creatives together; and from the beginning of character design, sketches, colours and textures, my team here at Radium and I got right to work on creating the sound of this insanely fun world that is Cannon Busters! Honestly, LeSean could've hit up anyone in the world to do the music for this show, so I'm extremely honoured and grateful that he even thought of me!" For casual anime / soundtrack collectors... While there are some interesting themes - 'Memories', for example - it's not a score that instantly leaps out as being an essential purchase. Repeat listens make you realise how intricate and richly layered the music is, but it's not one that you'll find all that memorable. 7 Darren Rea Buy this item online
