How much can you hang before he goes twaaang?! A fun, suspenseful and wild game! Take turns hanging fruit and jungle friends on the orangutan but watch out! At some point he'll be holding too much and he'll spring up and send the fruit and friends flying... you just never know when...

Growing up, Buckaroo always intrigued me. Sadly, I never owned it, but it was a game that as a kid always look exciting. I've grown up (some would argue not) and this year I was contemplating buying some classic board games like Buckaroo and Operation, for a family gaming night over Christmas. But, having been burnt a few years ago when I was disappointed by the cheap quality of KerPlunk, I never got around to buying anything. It doesn't help that the high street seemed to be awash with cheap remakes by independent game manufacturers.

As luck would have it Interplay sent us Orangutwang for review. It's very similar in style to Buckaroo, only instead of being a mule that you have to hang items off, it features an orangutan. The primate is hung on a vine between two palm trees and each player takes it in turn to roll a die and then place the corresponding item on the orangutan. The trick is to try and keep it balanced so that the vine doesn't got twang, sending the great ape and the items flying.

It's a simple, and enjoyable family game that every member from the youngest to the oldest can enjoy equally. And, thankfully, it's well made of strong plastic ensuring it will bring years of pleasure.
