2K Games recently acquired the rights to Tales from the Borderlands.

Tales From the Borderlands is a Telltale Games game from 2014 which was originally available on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. It was later reissued for PS4, Xbox One and PC, but hard copies of the disc releases are hard to come by and when they do pop up they change hands for much more than the original RRP. 2K Games recently acquired the rights to the game and has reissued it as a standalone game, rather than the original 5-part episodic offering that was available through the Playstation Store. However, the game is still split into 5-parts with credits and a "coming next time" cut sequence sandwiched between the episodes.

You play as both Hyperion employee Rhys and con artist Fiona as they tell their very tall tales.

I played this game many years ago, but never finished it, and so the chance to go back and replay it was something I was looking forward to. First things first, it doesn't matter if you've never played a Borderlands game before. While it's set in the same universe and there are several call backs to certain characters, you don't really need to know who they are to enjoy this game.

Humour plays an important element in the game.

The graphics looks fresh and modern, certainly not what you'd expect from a game that is seven years old, but then its stylised animation, like with all Telltale Games's output, helps to make this look timeless. Humour is one of the most important elements in the Borderlands series and thankfully this game slots right in.

While it's basically an animated movie where you make only the occasional choice that matters (let's be honest a lot of the choices don't really make a lot of difference to the narrative and on a couple of occasions the choice I made didn't seem to have been the choice that the storyline followed) it's still a hell of a lot of fun.
