You are the director. Create epic scenes and legendary moments with the Studios Pack. Build the ultimate backlot tour and bring the blockbuster experience home with three new rides, almost 400 new scenery pieces, and nearly 100 new blueprints that put guests in the heart of the action...
The Studio Pack DLC for Planet Coaster adds so much to the gaming experience for an incredibly low price point. For £8 you'll be surprised at just how much you get. Some of it you'll probably not use unless you enjoy spending time decorating your park with little touches to make it look as authentic as possible. You can create a stunt scene or shark attack attraction with relative ease - especially if you've already drilled down into the minutia of how to construct scenes by grouping lots of elements together. You can build Hollywood sets and backlot tours with new studio-themed scenery and wall sets. Create dazzling studio sets with green screens, animated lights, film equipment, vehicle stunts, billowing dust, shattering glass, and more.
There are also three new rides (which can be customised if you you think you can improve on it). 'Horror Heights' takes you through a zombie infested office building. As you travel up and down in the lift each floor shows another scene of devastation. 'Re-Motion' is a modern simulator-style tracked ride with an adjustable robotic arm. While well realised I have to admit neither ride would excite me enough to queue to go on them. However, the final ride, 'Big Screen Tour' is a powered track ride bringing park guests face-to-face with your cinematic spectacles. Here open bus/buggies ferry your guests around the park to see the action. The DLC comes with loads of special effects from falling rubble to different types of explosions, all perfect for designing your Studio based attractions. There's also a nice collection of building windows which are rigged to smash - sending glass flying everywhere. There are plenty of different animated stunt dummies which can be placed in front of explosions, or on buildings, where the dummies are designed to fall off. There's a variety of character types, including knights, sci-fi outfits, pirates, police officers, cowboys, zombies and mummies - all with male and female versions.
There are a lot of vehicles to choose from. These range from cars, trucks, police cars and fire trucks, tanks and helicopters. Some of which are animated to show stunt scenes. We also have a lot of animated scenes including the large, and impressive crashing steam train. As with the other items in the main game and additional DLCs, the colour can be changed on most items, ensuring that you can put your own stamp on your park. As I said before, the casual player probably won't use a lot of the extra bits and pieces and just concentrate on the new rides and vehicles. But, if you're the sort of gamer who can happily spend hours tweaking your park to make it just so... the Studios Pack gives you a lot more to play with. 9 Darren Rea Buy this item online
