Originally released on the private label Streetnoise, Shintaro Quintet's 1984 album, Evolution, is the 7th release in BBE Music's highly acclaimed J Jazz Master Class Series... Evolution is a jazz album that everyone can enjoy. It's got all the standard jazz hallmarks of a great LP and it doesn't harm it that it's a great album to dance too. The album contains 6 works (46 min, 53 sec) which are diverse enough to keep your interest, whilst still being in the same style. Jazz is a genre that has so many variants and can divide fans who only like certain styles of jazz. For me, as long as there's a catchy, memorable tune and none of the instruments dominates to the point of distraction, I love pretty much all forms of traditional jazz. This won't disappoint, especially considering the production values make it sound as though you have front row seats at a private club performance. 8 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
