Smith & Burrows release their latest LP, Only Smith & Burrows Is Good Enough, via [PIAS] Recordings). The album includes the single 'I Want You Back In My Life', a hazy mid-tempo ballad that wears its heart on its sleeve... It's been 10 years since Smith & Burrows released their debut album, 2011’s Funny Looking Angels, and it's surprising that the 10 tracks on Only Smith & Burrows is Good Enough are, quality wise, such a mixed bag of songs. Some are wonderfully polished, while others feel like they still need a little work. The opening track 'All the Best Moves' and 'Aimee, Move On' represent the best on offer here. On the other side of the spectrum, 'Spaghetti' is the one track on the album where the lyrics really let the song down. You'll love at least half of the album, and the other tracks you can quietly forget about. I'm hoping it's not another 10 years before they give us another album. 7 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
