Family Theater Productions and Grant Fonda Productions release Grant Fonda's original soundtrack to The House that Rob Built. Directed by Jonathan Cipiti and Megan Harrington, the sports documentary tells the story of Robin Selvig, the pioneering coach for the University of Montana’s Lady Griz basketball team. Selvig is considered one of the top all women's basketball coaches ever with 865 victories...

The House that Rob Built features a string quartet, voice, and the traditional Swedish musical instrument the Nyckelharpa. The album also incorporates basketball sounds into some of the tracks in order to blur the lines between sound design and soundtrack.

The album contains 17 tracks (53 min, 02 sec) and it's surprising how many interesting themes are buried away. The opening 'The House That Rob Built' really sets the tone for the rest of the album, which is uplifting and life affirming.

'Psycho Coach' is a weird and wonderful electronic offering that is both wild and crazy - it certainly stands out from the rest of the tracks. At the other side of the spectrum are 'Coach Dad' and 'Montana Original', which are lovingly melancholic offerings that showcases the heart of the movie. If nothing else this album allows Fonda to showcase his wide range.

An interesting collection of themes that should find an audience outside of fans of the film.
