Gal Go Grey is the product of Argentinean saxophonist Ignacio Salvadores aka Galgo and Tom Grey, a London born experimental producer. A key collaborator with Archy Marshall, Salvadores was one of the forces behind King Krule’s Mercury Prize nominated The Ooz. In this collaboration, the mystery of Salvadores continues while embracing an absurd humour and electronic sound from Tom Grey...

I cringed when I read "experimental" in the press notes. I cringed more than a handful of instances when I listened to Gal Go Grey. This is an album for fans of avant garde music. Personally, I found it self indulgent nonsense and while I totally understand what the artists were doing I just didn't find it very entertaining.

While there are glimpses of what this could have been, if they'd taken a totally different approach, what we end up with is a rather bland trip down the rabbit hole of experimental music.

It tries too hard to be too many things and ends up being rather uninspiring.
