Raf Rundell's latest album, O.M.Days, is available thought Heavenly Recordings...

If Ian Dury, Damon Albarn and Jarvis Cocker were to join forces then it would... maybe... a little bit, sound like O.M.Days. This 10 track (44 min, 38 sec) album shifts and mutates as it plods ever forward. It opens with 'More U Know', one of the LP's highlights. It's catchy, upbeat and infectious.

After this, it all goes a bit flat until 'Luxury' and 'The Ides Of Albion'. It's not an album I really enjoyed all that much. There was about an EP's worth of engaging material, the rest just felt like filler material.

While it's normally a positive point when artists experiment with different styles and genres, in this instance it just makes it hard to pin down what Rundell's music is all about. Even after listening to it over and over again for over a month... I'm still not sure what his angle is.
