Plaza Mayor Company Ltd release the original score for Traidores, with music by José Sánchez-Sanz. In the twilight of their life several men, who shared a terrible experience nearly half a century ago, meet up once again. Since the event, life has led them down very different paths. Now they come together to talk about their mistakes and successes, how they went from being heroes to being traitors, how they were plagued by those who previously had their backs... José Sánchez-Sanz's score for Traidores is suspenseful, eerie, but above all incredibly atmospheric. At times this beautifully walks the line of soundtrack / classical music / atmospheric soundscape. At its core this is a comfortably unsettling collection of themes. The album contains 28 tracks (51 min, 55 sec) of atmospheric, brooding music which builds into a wonderful collection of set pieces. Yes, there's a number of ambient background music cues. But these never feel like filler material, as they're constantly building to the the next interesting theme. Normally I would shy away from scores of this nature, but the presentation and overall story / suspense building really worked for me. 7 Darren Rea Buy this item online
