Fusion guitarist and keyboardist Gabor Lesko delivers a set of energetic yet melodic tracks on his latest album, Earthaway, released via Creativity's Paradise Music. With guests including soprano-saxophonist Eric Marienthal, bassist Jimmy Haslip, and drummer Dave Weckl among others, Lesko explores a wide variety of moods and grooves... Earthaway is a jazz infused electric guitar based album that contains 8 tracks (44 min, 25 sec). Gabor Lesko delivers a relaxing, laid back collection of songs and while it won't be to everyone's tastes, there is enough diversity on offer here to make sure you don't get bored quickly. 'Push It!' stood out for me with its infectious beat. Elsewhere the artists sense of fun shines though on the funky, 'The Mickey Mouse Secrets'. And 'Air (The lost Key p 2)' strays into rock territory. This is a chill out album that grabs your attention and keeps you hooked for the duration. 7 Nick Smithson |
