Milan Records releases the soundtrack to the fourth season of Dear White People. The album features covers of ‘90s R&B and hip hop classics, newly produced by Kris Bowers and performed by the show’s cast for the series’ musical final season. Included within the 14-track collection are covers of hit singles by Salt-N-Pepa, TLC, NSYNC, Jamiroquai, Montell Jordan and more...

For fans of the show, this collection of songs from the final season make for a wonderful musical souvenir of the series... especially if you grew up in the '90s and fondly remember the original versions of the songs. Everyone else may find this a bit of a novelty, but not something that will mean much to you.

Overall, it's a passable collection of covers that attempts to deliver something a little different. It's refreshing to hear some of these '90s tracks given a new lease of life. Not perfect, but then again it's not a total disaster.
