Diana Ross sings releases her new album, Thank You, via Decca Records / Universal Music Group. Ross co-wrote and collaborated on the 13 songs along with award-winning songwriters and producers including Jack Antonoff, Troy Miller, Triangle Park, Spike Stent, Prince Charlez, Amy Wadge, Neff-U, Freddie Wexler, Jimmy Napes, Tayla Parx, Fred White, and Nathanial Ledgewick... Recorded in her home studio, as the global pandemic shut down the world around her, Thank You is Diana Ross's first new original studio recordings in more than two decades. It offers a powerful, inclusive musical message of love and togetherness. It's incredible to think that Ross hasn't recorded an album in over 20 years, and it makes the release of Thank You all the more special. From a stylistic and production point of view this reminded me of a late '80s pop album. It really gave me that nostalgic feel that takes me back to when I first bought Whitney Houston's 1987 album, Whitney. Highlights are too numerous to mention, but if I had to pick out my absolute favourites, songs that I know I'll still be playing months and years from now... I'd have to turn the spotlight on the opener 'Thank You', 'Just in Case' and 'Time to Call', with the last two being essential listening. This is the perfect love letter to her devoted fans. 9 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
