LP releases her new full-length album, Churches, via SOTA Records. This represents the artist's seventh studio album. LP is not only a globally successful solo artist and live performer, but she's the creative force behind some of the biggest songs of the past decade, having written hits for Rihanna, Cher, Celine Dion, Christina Aguilera, and the Backstreet Boys... Laura Pergolizzi, better known as LP, is an artist who is pretty hard to resist. Not only are her songs strong and memorable, but her voice is instantly recognisable... and every now and then I was reminded of Cher. I don't think it's too much of a stretch to state that almost every song on this 14 track (51 min, 32 sec) album could be a single in its own right. But highlights for me include 'When We Touch', 'How Low Can You Go' and 'Yes'. If you've been following LP over the years then you won't be disappointed with Churches, which represents a natural progression for the artist. 9 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
