Escape String is a 2D puzzle game set in an undefined time and place. A small humanoid robot wakes up in the debris of a landfill inside a large factory. He receives strange and enigmatic messages, from someone who apparently wants to help him. The robot's purpose is to explore the large factory where he is in search of answers about who he and his mysterious remote helper are...
Escape String is a simple, fun little game that makes for an interesting distraction from the chaos of everyday life. You control a humanoid robot who you have to help navigate the environment he's in. That's no easy matter as there are obstacles, traps and beasties to overcome. Each room or level can easily be exited if you stop and think about it... Or you can opt for good old fashioned trial and error. You start with four movement options: Left, right, jump and crouch. You must input all the moves before your robot will start its way towards the exit. If you're successful you'll unlock the next room.
Now, you can make a move, or a few moves, set the robot off and then stop and think about the next move/moves. And this is probably a good idea when you first enter a room. But you are rewarded if you can finish the level in one input attempt. Each room also has a move count attributed to it, and if you finish the room in that many moves you'll also be rewarded. The rewards come in the form of unlockable skins for your robot. If you're looking for a cheap, easy to get to grips with, puzzle game then Escape String will keep you entertained for a while. 7 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
