Growing up in the '80s I was never a huge football fan. However I did enjoy football based computer games. Skip forwards to the early 2000s and me and my non-football loving son would play quite a few football console games.

Retro Goal took me back to being a teenager again. This '90s style game offers graphics inspired by the most beloved football games of the 16-bit era. There's a good mix of manual ground passes and automatic ground passes to keep the energy of the game high. Tackling allows you to select your defender and move him into the right position for a slide tackle.
