Daytime TV release their debut album, Nothing’s on but Everyone’s Watching, via Allotment. An album about humanity and alienation, connection and disconnection, interactions and distractions, it explores our relationship with technology and the complex relationships it creates between us as human-beings... Nothing’s on but Everyone’s Watching is one of those rare albums that I thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish from the very first time I listened to it. And then I used every excuse to return to it time and time again. In many ways it reminded me of '90s albums I listened to as a student (FM, Bad English) but more modern and mature. Each track could so easily be a single in its own right and I had a huge problem choosing favourite tracks, although 'Digital Light' and 'Communication are obvious highlights. The rock anthem vibe to almost every track is hard to not totally fall in love with. Will Irvine's vocals are powerful and memorable and I loved how album closer 'Satellites' shows a softer edge to his range. I can't praise this album enough. If you're a lover of good old fashioned powerful rock then this is worth a listen. 10 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
