Milan Records releases music from the hugely popular anime franchise Fullmetal Alchemist for the first time ever outside of Japan. Available everywhere now are 11 original soundtracks, including music from both the original Fullmetal Alchemist television series and the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood series, as well as soundtracks from the franchise’s two feature-length films, Fullmetal Alchemist: The Conqueror of Shamballa and Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos... Composer Michiru Oshima returns to Fullmetal Alchemist to compose the music for the movie Conqueror of Shamballa, a sequel to the 2003 Bones-produced anime series. Once again Oshima weaves her magic to produce a score that is more than just a collection of themes. The music spreads itself wide offering listeners suspense, drama, action and quiet reflective moments of melancholy. The score contains 45 tracks (1 hr, 04 min, 44 sec), with Oshima providing the heart and soul of the movie. Without her skillfully orchestrated compositions the film would undoubtedly have been a much weaker affair. There's nothing here that feels like filler material, or an afterthought, just layered and carefully planned themes that help bring the movie and its characters vividly to life. If you enjoyed what she composed for the original anime, then you'll be pleased to hear this score is in a similar vein. Beautiful stuff. 9 Darren Rea Buy this item online
