Milan Records releases Luck: Soundtrack from the Apple Original Film. The album features music written by Debney for the animated adventure film. Included among Debney’s 30 score tracks (1 hr, 07 min, 20 sec) is an original cover of Madonna’s hit song 'Lucky Star' performed by actress Eva Noblezada, who voices Sam in the film...

I thoroughly enjoyed John Debney's score for Luck. Not only is it a wonderful soundtrack, bursting with beautiful themes, but it also brought to mind many other composers work, including Jason Graves music for the VR game Moss ('She Has You'), James Horner's scores for the original Star Trek movies and his work on The Land Before Time ('Good Morning'), John Williams's work on the Indiana Jones films ('A Lift in Between'), Alan Silvestri's work on Back to the Future ('A Life in Between') and Dave Grusin's score for The Goonies ('Samantha's Theme')

Talking about the score, Debney says: "Writing the music for Luck was a dream come true. I fell in love with the idea of a Land Of Luck which mirrors and influences our own world. Working with Peggy Holmes was such a pleasure. Peggy is a wonderful director with a clear and unique vision. Being reunited with my old friend John Lasseter was also a dream come true. The main theme is one I’ve dedicated to my beautiful granddaughter titled: ‘Sam’s Theme.’ I hope everyone enjoys the music from Luck as much as I did creating it!"

This is a wonderful feel good album which packs in so many intricate and enjoyable themes.
