Hot on the heels of Vol. 1, Inviting Worlds: Vol. 2 follows in the footsteps of its predecessor with the rhythmic dexterity and textural nuance of today’s orchestras paired with a new roster of composers. New sounds and expressions burst with emotion and uplift us through dark days, navigating uncertainty and delivering us to tranquil resolution. From the frenetic energy and hair raising harmony of 'Chasse Noir' to the soothing solemnity of 'When Quiet Comes', this collection delivers a colourful palette of orchestral virtuosity sure to please any listener who lends an ear... If you bought and enjoyed Inviting Worlds: Vol. 1, then you'll be pleased to learn that Vol. 2 delivers more of the same. In fact, I'd argue that this new collection is even more engaging than the first. It's sweeter, softer and more emotionally demanding on the listener. In short it's a beautiful collection of reflective works that will touch your soul. It's hard to single out favourites, but Bruce Reiprich's 'When Quiet Comes' was the one stand out piece for me. It's melancholic, soft and beautifully paced with some heart wrenching moments. Richard E Brown's 8-part 'Paisano Suite' is also a wonderfully immersive experience which showcases the composer's skill at delivering diverse pieces, which all offer an uplifting emotional response. Another essential collection from Navona Records. Track listing: Lawrence Mumford Dinah Bianchi Bruce Reiprich William Copper Debra Kaye Richard E Brown 10 Darren Rea Buy this item online
