Blending country-tinged melodies with jangling indie-rock guitars, It Comes in the Morning, It Hangs in the Evening Sky is Tom Jenkins new LP, released via Xtra Mile Recording. The album reflects on the real life isolation he experienced while pursuing sheep-shearing and shepherding on a ranch in New Zealand... I found It Comes in the Morning, It Hangs in the Evening Sky to be a warm, engaging release with a lot of soul. Tom Jenkins has a knack for delivering instantly memorable songs that resonate on a personal level. Over the course of these 12 tracks (42 min. 21 sec) you really get a feel of Jenkins personality and his strengths as a song writer and performer. From the classic rock style of the titular 'It Comes In The Morning, It Hangs In The Evening Sky' to the country inspired 'Back Roads', Jenkins isn't afraid to reach outside his comfort zone. The end result is a diverse and compelling album that is not only timeless, but also genreless. A wonderfully deep and emotionally rewarding album. 8 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
