Silva Screen Records release the soundtrack for His Dark Materials: Series 3 - Episodes 3 & 4, composed by Lorne Balfe. This is the second installment of soundtrack highlights from season three. A total of four albums are being released for this season...

The music for episodes 3 & 4 of the third season of His Dark Materials is a much more laid back affair than for the first release (which showcased the music from the first two episodes).

There's still a good mix of epic themes ('Smithing' for example), but there's an emphasis on more subtle, beautiful calm themes (like 'Separation').

Personally I'm really impressed at the dedication and trust Silva Screen Records has offered composer Lorne Balfe. Not only have they released four albums for this season of the show, but also there's the thematic Musical Anthology release too.

Another multilayered and richly constructed collection of memorable themes.
