There are serious Golden Axe vibes

Chipmonk! is a retro-inspired beat 'em up starring chipmunk warriors. The gluttonous gray squirrel has stolen all the land's food stores, threatening the forest’s inhabitants with starvation. Embark on a perilous journey as a chipmunk martial arts master — Grey, Cheeks or Red — as you battle a multitude of foes in a heroic attempt to recover the stolen food.

Fans of the classic Golden Axe will love this homage to the original, as will fans of retro side-scrolling beat 'em ups / hack 'n slash games. While it doesn't quite have the depth and longevity of Golden Axe, it's still a neat and very funny twist on an old favourite.

Play solo, or with friends via local co-op

You can play solo or with a friend via local co-op mode and choose to play as one of three playable characters (Grey, Cheeks or Red) - each having their own strengths and weaknesses.

There are also a couple of game modes. You can embark on the classic adventure or battle an endless onslaught of goons.

While not an essential purchase, there's enough fun and retro nostalgia to ensure that lovers of old skool gaming will have a blast.
