Gazzlers is an insane VR shooter full of diesel-fueled chaos. Embark on an epic train ride across the lands of Ginkgo. Build your ultimate weapon and shoot, block, and dodge your way through hordes of crazy enemies to reach the Temple of the Machine God. Fight hordes of Gazzlers, insane creatures riding their mechanical contraptions, dead set on stopping you in your tracks...
Gazzlers is a rail shooter that takes a tried and trusted format and attempts to inject new life into it. While the basic premise is simple enough - shoot as many incoming Gazzlers as possible - the developers have ensured that there's enough other things to do to keep you constantly on your toes. You'll need to reload your weapon of choice, use a shield to deflect damage and pick up and use health packs. Graphically it owes a lot to comicbook art. And I was instantly reminded of the Borderlands franchise. Normally wave shooters, like this, get old really quickly, but there's actually quite a life built into this game.
How far can you get before you are defeated? Not as far as you'd hoped? Worry not. Collect scrap and unlock different weapon components and mods that impact the workings of your gun. Upgrade and combine the parts you find on your pilgrimage to create a weapon so insane that you'll be dispatching more of those pesky beasties than in previous run throughs. Aim, block and dodge your way through an insane journey full of hilarious encounters. £16 for a new VR game?!?! What's not to like? It's fun, frantic and even gives you a little bit of a work out in the process. Also, the soundtrack is pretty impressive and certainly helps to add to the excitement. 8 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
