Fly solo or with up to three other loyal crewmates as you boldly go where no-one has gone (and survived to talk about it) before. Obtain and upgrade new weapons and systems for your ship as you venture deep into a procedurally generated universe filled with increasingly grumpy and murder-y enemies. Map your unique path through the stars, but remember that the stakes are super high – one wrong move and it’s game over...

Play with up to 3 other players with Local or Online Co-Op.

I couldn't help being reminded of Space Crew whilst playing This Means Warp. While not a clone of the first game, This Means Warp is stylistically very similar, but equally worlds apart. Here you can play with up to 3 other players with Local or Online Co-Op. Or you can embark on a trek through the stars on your own. Each game is unique, with randomised maps, items, enemies and encounters.

Whilst the single player campaign is a blast, it's the co-op mode where you'll have the most fun... and hectic fun at that.

Chart your way through... er... uncharted space, meeting new life forms. Will they be peaceful or aggressive? Well, mostly they're aggressive, otherwise you wouldn't get the opportunity to try our your nice shiny weapons.

In co-op mode you can all work together to fight off any alien encounters. Man the weapons, fix damage to your vessel and generally look out for each other. Communication is key here. If one of your team is slacking it will soon be game over. If everyone has a job to do and sticks to it then you'll soon be defeating those enemies and moving ever forward.

This is a game that works best in short blasts

This is a game that works best in short blasts. It's great fun at first, but it soon becomes clear that there's little in the way of diverse gameplay. Yes, your enemies and scenarios are constantly changing, but it's basically the same each level as you try and keep your ship from being destroyed, whilst trying to blow up enemy vessels.

A fun, cheap game that's well worth spending a little time with.
