George Hennessey releases his new LP If You Can't Find What You're Looking For Please Ask, via Massive 92. A rock’n’roll singer-songwriter born and bred in London, Hennessey has been turning heads for some time now with songs that often marry the earth-splitting sounds of Grunge with the melodic merits of Brit-Pop. Channelling the songwriting talents of Paul Weller or Noel Gallagher, through twists of psychedelia, folk and rock; Hennessey serves up nine coming-of-age tales about breaking-up, bouncing back, and believing in yourself...

Those who grew up on '90s Brit-Pop will instantly warm to George Hennessey's latest album, If You Can't Find What You're Looking For Please Ask. Like suddenly finding yourself in a time warp, us oldies will be instantly transported back to another era.

There's an obvious comparison to be made between this album and early Oasis, not least because Hennessey has a very similar effortlessly laid back vocal style, but also the way the songs are structured.

But don't for a second think that Hennessey is standing on the shoulder of giants in a bid to be noticed. His song writing is solid and his performance is as finely polished as you could wish for. Songs like 'Purified' show that he is capable of delivering wonderfully original and instantly accessible songs that get under your skin.

If I'm being honest, there isn't a dull track here. All 9 songs (44 min, 16 sec) have something different going for theme. And, delivered as a package, this is a solid, enjoyable showcase of the artist's talents.
