Dalibor Grubačević's original score for the documentary film Rivers of Croatia is released via Plaza Mayor Company Ltd. Maybe no other European country has such diverse, yet so preserved rivers as Croatia. Whilst it's Adriatic coast is world-known, with crystal clear sea, rocky coastline with ancient stone towns like Dubrovnik, the sea is not the only richness of Croatia. Its rivers are diverse ranging from the murky and slow lowland rivers that flood huge floodplains, through short and fast mountainous rivers that flush on rapids, and the almost marshy parts with lush vegetation, as this documentary explores... If relaxing, chill out scores are your thing, then you're going to love Dalibor Grubačević's wonderfully layered music for Rivers of Croatia. Over 12 tracks (27 min, 26 sec) we are treated to a diverse collection of themes, all designed to reflect areas of natural beauty in Croatia. Track after track brings a new, interesting theme. And whilst the album is short it more than makes up for it's lack of run time by delivering quality over quantity. For me, the highlight was the album's closing 'The Skradinski Buk - Waterfall & The Neretva Delta', a meandering, slow build which delivers a real chill-down-the-spine moment as the piece opens up at around the midway point. An interesting, light album that will touch your soul. 8 Darren Rea Buy this item online
