Yoshihiro Hanno's original score for Why Try to Change Me Now is released via Plaza Mayor Company Ltd. It contains 12 tracks (44 min, 55 sec). The score here is very much grounded in jazz, and at times sounds a little like a classic detective film noir soundtrack. It's melancholic and flows easily. In amongst the jazz we get beautiful compositions like 'Pastoral Scale' and 'Murder Scale', which are pieces for solo flute; 'Why Try to Change Me Now (Guitar Solo)', which is a classical guitar piece; and 'Murder Case', an eerie electronic soundscape. I suppose it really all comes down to whether you're a fan of this distinct style of jazz music. While it's certainly atmospheric, it's also a little on the cliched side and instantly feels like you've heard it before. Overall, an interesting score that will be cherished by those who love the movie. 6 Darren Rea Buy this item online
