Erwann Chandon's score for Complètement Cramé! is released via Plaza Mayor Company. Since the loss of his wife, Andrew Blake no longer has anything in his heart. A final impulse pushes him to return to France, to the property where they had met. However, this journey towards the memory of happy days is not going as planned at all. When he arrives at the domain of Beauvillier, Blake finds himself hired as a trial butler following a misunderstanding... and he is forced to start all over again... The original score for Complètement Cramé! is a huge throwback to cinema of the '80s/'90s. There's a little flavour of John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith, Danny Elfman and many others in this melancholic, bittersweet score. There's even a nod and a wink to Alan Silvestri's work on Back to the Future on the track 'L’intrus Dans La Grange'. It opens on the beautiful theme 'Domaine de Beauvillier (thème d’Andrew)' and as the album rumbles on, you never for a second spot a lapse in quality or engaging themes. The main theme is echoed throughout, and is always a joy to hear when it appears. There are 23 tracks (25 min, 25 sec) for you to get behind. And while it's a relatively short album, it more than makes up for it in quality. If beautifully melancholic, mellow soundtracks are what you seek out, then you'll find plenty to engage with on Complètement Cramé! 9 Darren Rea Buy this item online
