Plaza Mayor Company release the soundtrack to Dimension Slip, with original music by Marco Werba and Maria Chiara Casà. Kate, a troubled young woman wakes up in a parallel dimension and assumes her double’s identity in order to solve her attempted murder... The soundtrack to Dimension Slip (22 tracks - 43 min, 44 sec) is packed with intriguing, sinister themes. This is unsettling to listen to in isolation and equally works wonders in the movie to amp up the tension. 'Hypnosis' is one of the best examples of this, with its horror-esque music cues. On the other end of the spectrum, 'Awakening' houses one of the most notable themes. It's beautifully melancholic and truly haunting. Director Barbara Toschi says, of the project: "Working on the soundtrack of Dimension Slip was an interesting challenge, and I was glad to have composer Marco Werba walk through this process with me. We wanted to make sure that the audience would be able to experience a range of emotions through the film while at the same time staying true to our story and maintaining a tone that would resonate with it. We playfully explored our theme song through different instruments to achieve this, and I think it was a simple but powerful way to strengthen the story we are telling." Fear is a difficult emotion to convey through music, yet the composers do a wonderful job of unsettling the listener. There are some impressive themes woven throughout this score and it's certainly one that's worth checking out even if you haven't seen the movie. 8 Darren Rea Buy this item online
