The original score for Sexygénaires, by composer Etienne Forget, is released via Plaza Mayor Company. At the age of sixty, two friends experiencing financial difficulties will take advantage of their image in the world of fashion and advertising. One is still beautiful, the other is not never been. But beyond appearances, what does it really mean to be the age of retirement today...? I really enjoyed my time listening to Sexygénaires. The score contains 23 tracks (32 min, 59 sec) of beautifully melancholic themes that will lift your spirit. The main bulk of the music sees the clarinet and string section take centre stage, giving a wonderfully soulful sound. Discussing the project, composer Etienne Forget says: "This is our second collaboration with Robin [Director Robin Sykes] and, as in La Finale, we find this desire there to mix humour with a very human and very naked sensitive background. There is nostalgia, joy, play, wonder and above all, like a final season, the desire to be reborn once again." If, like me, you can't get enough of melancholic scores, then you'll get a great deal of satisfaction from Sexygénaires. 9 Darren Rea Buy this item online
