The original score for Una Jauria Llamada Ernesto, is released via Plaza Mayor Company. This documentary about gangs and cartels, focuses on young kids and combines true stories to create its titular character, and parallels with the manufacturing of a gun. The two stories’ convergent paths twits in a double helix of violence which leaves one person dead by firearms every 41 minutes...

An industrial, almost tribal sound, is at the core of the soundtrack for Una Jauria Llamada Ernesto, a movie that explores childrens' street gangs. It's an unnerving and raw score that really hits home. Whether it's one you'll want to listen to on its own is debatable.

The 6 tracks (32 min, 35 sec) are peppered with samples of guns, sirens and other sounds of the street. Personally, I enjoyed the music, mainly because it was a little different from the norm, but I equally wouldn't want to revisit it in the future. However, if you're a fan of modern, electronic scores then there's quite a lot to unpick here.
