A timeless masterpiece based on the internationally acclaimed books by Michael Bond, Paddington Bear, directed by Ivor Wood and narrated by Michael Hordern, remains one of the most successful children’s programs produced in the UK. Paddington was named Paddington by the Browns after they found him at Paddington Station as his Peruvian name was difficult to pronounce. He quickly becomes a cherished member of the family. Dressed in his characteristic duffle coat and oversized hat, Paddington has a fondness for marmalade sandwiches and always keeps one under his hat for emergencies... Paddington Bear: The Complete Collection: Series 1 and 2 include all 56 episodes of the children's TV series which originally aired between 1976 and 1980. It also includes three longer specials, now restored and remastered in Hi-Definition. There's also a special, limited version, which includes a slipcase with 3D Pop-Up Paddington scene artwork. This series was a huge part of my childhood and revisiting it was quite enjoyable. It was made all the more special by the fact I could watch this with my grandchildren, who have grown up with the Paddington movies. They loved it... and I loved it too. The stories are charming and timeless and the animation, whilst fairly simple by today's standards, is perfect for the show. If you fondly remember this from your childhood, or you have young children who love Paddington, then this collection is an essential purchase. Extras: Barry Leith Film Fair Animator Feature; Paddington Restored Feature; Marmalade Sandwich Feature. 8 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
