You need to get up close and personal with the beasties

Shield King is a roguelite bullet hell/wave survival game where your main objective is to push and kill enemies using your shield. Your shield, a dustbin lid, is your only weapon and you must wield it wisely as you face intense challenges as you battle the monsters and search for scarce resources to stay alive. Explore the mist-affected world, make strategic decisions, and demonstrate your survival skills in a dangerous environment.

At the ridiculously low price point of £4.19, the game is worth a gamble if you enjoy survival wave games. The challenge here is that as you have no weapons to fire projectiles at the incoming swarms, you need to get up close and personal with the beasties as you shove them with your shield. Shoving them causes damage, but if you want to dispatch them quickly, you'll need to push them over the edge of buildings.

It's a fun, retro looking game, that should keep you occupied for a few hours at a time. I was constantly drawn back to it to see how much further I could progress.
