Plaza Mayor Company release the original score for Le Bonheur est Pour Demain, with music composed by Béatrice Thiriet. Sophie has a child, and a spouse, but her daily life seems hopelessly flat, without pleasure, without desires. Until the day she meets Claude. He's funny, seductive, smart. Sophie immediately falls in love. But Claude is not a Prince Charming. He's a robber. However, during a bank robbery, a man is killed. Claude is arrested and sentenced to a long prison term. What should have been the end then becomes the beginning of a crazy, passionate and limitless story. Supported by Lucie, Claude's mother, Sophie does not give up her love for Claude. She's ready to go all the way. Regardless of the consequences... Taken on its own merits, without the onscreen imagery, the soundtrack for Le Bonheur est Pour Demain feels a little flat. If you've seen the movie, then there's certainly enough here to warrant picking it up, but coming to this raw, without any frame of reference, it's hard to pick up on what the director and composer were aiming for. As a collection of themes it seems a little disjointed and certainly eclectic. In fact, it wasn't until the closing piano theme that I really sat up and took notice. But even that stopped abruptly before it really got going. Overall an intriguing score, but certainly not one that will be to everyone's taste. 5 Darren Rea Buy this item online
