Plaza Mayor Company release Erwann Kermorvant's score for the original series Tout Cela Je Te Le Donnerai, performed by the Budapest Scoring Orchestra. The series is an adaptation of the Spanish bestseller of the same name... If emotionally charged scores are your passion, then Erwann Kermorvant's music for Tout Cela Je Te Le Donnerai could be what you're looking for. It opens with the truly memorable 'Tout Cela Je Te le Donnerai', the central theme to which is echoed throughout the score's 31 (1 hr, 02 min, 46 sec) tracks. And, in all honesty, the epic themes just keep coming. Kermorvant delivers so many incredible, beautifully charged set pieces that it's hard to know where to start singing its praises. Talking about the project, Kermorvant says: "From the outset of the project, it was agreed to use a classical orchestral idiom and, above all, a score for solo cello. One of the protagonists is a former soloist. In addition to the repertoire pieces, the score leaves plenty of room for solos performed by Lydia Shelley, a renowned English soloist, who brings a great deal of finesse to the tense moments in this story, which remains, despite everything, a family thriller. Generally speaking, apart from the opening theme, which uses the same codes as the saga, Nicolas [director Nicolas Guicheteau] and his editors decided to show a great deal of restraint so as not to overpower the dramas unfolding throughout the story. Like the horn solo in the Christmas flashback. A mixture of nobility and solitude, that's a summary of what I tried to achieve in this score". It's reflective, beautifully melancholic, yet surprisingly uplifting. There is so much to digest here that you'll spend months just trying to get to grips with it. It's a collection that you'll never tire of. A wonderfully constructed album of orchestrated music. 10 Darren Rea Buy this item online
