Rendering Ranger: R² [Rewind] is an old skool scrolling shooter that was originally released in 1995 and developed by Manfred Trenz (creator of the Turrican series). Originally released for the Super Nintendo in Japan, it was planned to be introduced to the West as Targa. However, the game ended up as a Japan-only title, with only 10,000 copies produced, making it one of the most sought-after collectibles in retro gaming. The game allows you to rewind time, at the press of a button, making it a release that technically you can complete on your first run through (if you rewind time every time you make a mistake). If retro games are your thing... then there's probably enough here to make it a game worth checking out. My main complaint is the controls. It feels like someone randomly assigned buttons for certain actions and just to progress through the menus I had to randomly tap every button just to work out which ones did what. It's a bit of a dog's breakfast in that respect. 6 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
