The second installment in the House of Da Vinci is just as compelling as the first game. This latest offering brings a new control system. All game controls have been redesigned and optimised to help ensure that the experience is as intuitive as possible. In addition, the entire story is now fully narrated and there are numerous cut sequences, Including one showing da Vinci's creation of the famous 'The Last Supper'. You start the game locked in a cell and your first puzzle sees you having to work out how to escape your prison. Whilst an enjoyable puzzle game, it does suffer a little from having a few too many puzzles that are really just trial and error. For example you may pick up an object and then have to simply place it somewhere else in the room. But it's not overly obvious. In this respect it's very much a trial and error puzzle solving game than it is one that requires you to use logic.
Once again, the hint system is a godsend, as it's quite honestly the only way to solve some of the more obscure parts of the game. The story that runs through the game helps to keep you coming back for more in a bid to find out what is going on. A fun, at times challenging, adventure that adds much to the first game - although, it's not essential that you've played the previous game. 8 Darren Rea Buy this item online
