Janus is more than the reissuing of two of Spear of Destiny's popular '80s albums. Amongst some of the structural changes made in these new versions, fans will detect an additional verse on 'Soldier Soldier', missing for years and now finally returned. The track selection also now reflects Kirk Brandon's own personal choices, including B Sides/12 inch songs that he felt should have been on these two albums but were omitted by the respective record companies of the period.

The '80s punk vibe is as fresh today as it was on its original release. And as society shifts ever forward towards political unrest, these songs feel just as topical today.

For the band's legions of fans, this is an essential purchase. It's wonderful to finally hear a product that the band originally wanted to release all those years ago.
