Milan Records releases the first volume of music from season 2 of Netflix's Wednesday. The original score features music by composer Chris Bacon, who returns to the series after collaborating with composer Danny Elfman on the season 1 soundtrack. Wednesday Addams returns to prowl the Gothic halls of Nevermore Academy, where fresh foes and woes await. Wednesday must navigate family, friends and old adversaries, propelling her into another year of delightfully dark and kooky mayhem. Armed with her signature razor-sharp wit and deadpan charm, Wednesday is also plunged into a new bone-chilling supernatural mystery... Chris Bacon channels classic gothic Danny Elfman in his score for the second season of Wednesday. There are musical nods to Elfman's work on Tim Burton films like Beetlejuice, Mars Attacks! and the director's Batman movies. The music consists of 29 tracks (57 min, 50 sec) and delivers some beautifully melancholic moments, the closing 'Much Worse' was one standout moment where everything comes together beautifully to deliver a theme that will give you goosebumps. There's action and adventure, epic themes and many, many notable set pieces here. If you're a fan of Elfman then you'll really love what Bacon delivers here. It's not just thematically similar in style, it's also Bacon's use of various segments of the orchestra that mirrors the style of Elfman. A joy from beginning to end. 9 Darren Rea Buy this item online
