Sony Classical release Hans Zimmer's original score for Eden. Based on a factual account of a group of outsiders who settle on a remote island only to discover their greatest threat isn't the brutal climate or deadly wildlife, but each other... Hans Zimmer's music for Eden represents an interesting balance of eerie and melancholic themes. The score's 20 tracks (50 min, 10 sec) opens with 'Voyage to Floreana' which sets the scene perfectly for what is to come. For me 'Margaret's Testament' was probably the score's stand out piece. It's almost ethereal in its delivery, drawing in some of the movie's over themes to deliver a spin chilling, yet subtle, memorable piece. Whilst the score won't be to everyone's taste, Zimmer fans will appreciate the composer's intricate and layered approach. 'Paradise Lost', for example, is eerie yet beautifully scored.
