The Coin Game is a fun-filled arcade adventure on an island packed with ticket games, quirky robots, and endless activities. Explore realistic arcades with machines inspired by modern favourites and swap your tickets for prizes at redemption areas. Head to Larry's Arcade to jam with animatronics Teddy and the Ticket Eaters, or try UFO Arcade's space-themed games, Laser Tag, and Indoor Go-Karting. Don’t miss the ‘90s-style indoor mall with its own arcade, food court, shops, and even a cinema to watch your own movies. Looking for more adventure? Make a splash at Lenny's Waterpark or show your skills at mini-golf and RC boat racing at pirate-themed One Eyed Billie’s. And don’t forget the Traveling Carnival with 20+ classic games, rides, and new prizes...
The Coin Game is an action-packed offering which has so much to discover and play. However, it suffers from some truly awful controls. It's not possible to flip the camera mechanics. So if you're used to pressing up to look down and down to look up then you might struggle a little. There's little in the way of a tutorial so, if like me, you wander around the first arcade and get bored after a few minutes, you might not realise that this is just a very small selection of interactive games on offer. You'll need to travel outside the arcade to other activities and games. You can play in Survivor Mode, which sees you starting the game with limited funds. You'll need to purchase and eat food from different points on the island in order to keep your health and energy up. Money is also an issue. If you run out of funds you can find some laying around, sell some of your prizes at the pawn shop, get a newspaper round or contact Uncle Phil for more cash.
Birthday Mode sees you with unlimited funds and energy, so you can explore the island and its activities without worrying. You can travel around the island by foot, bike, bus or a few other vehicles at your disposal. There's plenty to explore and enjoy here. For those wanting a little slice of arcade action, The Coin Game is a fun, cheap little game which delivers more than you might expect, including Laser Tag, and Indoor Go-Karting, mini-golf and RC boat racing. 8 Nick Smithson
