Based on Slavic folklore The End of the Sun is a mystery-filled first-person adventure and exploration game set in a fantasy world. The core gameplay focuses on discovering an open world using a magical map and forming connections with bonfires. Each bond reveals new traces and events invisible to ordinary people. These bonfires act as gateways to time travel. You'll visit four seasons, separated by many years as you witness the lives of the same heroes at different stages, during the greatest Slavic festivals.

For those that enjoy long, slow paced games, there's plenty to get behind here. That said, the immersion is ruined a little by the constant feeling that you're being shepherded through the events as they unfold. I constantly found myself solving one piece of the mystery, only to be forced to follow the breadcrumbs to the next. While this isn't overly problematic, I just couldn't get into the skin of the character, as I was always aware that I couldn't really roam too far.

An enjoyable game that has a stunning art palette and focuses on a folklore that will be new to many.
