Compost Records is excited to share chapter 16 of this successful and influential compilation series, this time compiled by Michael Rütten (Soulpatrol/Soulsearching radio show) and Michael Reinboth. After 30 years of sharing the love for music and a friendship, these two get together for a musical trip around the world... It's been four years since the previous volume was released in the Future Sounds of Jazz series. Once again, we are treated to a diverse collection of global jazz tracks. And this will either be the element that appeals or repels you. Whilst it's easy to appreciate each track on its own merits, it's highly unlikely that many music lovers will fall in love with every single track here - mainly down to how widely different each is. Once again, it doesn't feels futuristic, but unlike the previous release there is a jazz-based flavour on display. There's certainly a global appeal here, with tracks representing so many nations. It really is going to be a subjective release. One that will probably divide listeners more so than previous releases in the series. Personally, I enjoyed what was on offer here... However, whether I'll listen to it very often in the future is doubtful. Track listing (vinyl): Side A Side B Side C Side D Side E Side F 7 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
