                    Modesty Blaise and Willie Garvin, her partner, are lured into
                    a faked kidnapping plot - but when a real kidnapper strikes,
                    all hell breaks loose in Cry Wolf. Also included Take
                    Me to Your Leader and Highland Witch, this collection
                    features an introduction by the band Sparks, story introductions
                    by Modesty creator Peter O'Donnell, a selection from Romero's
                    sketchbook, plus a rare interview...
                  Cry
                    Wolf collects
                    together another three classic Modesty Blaise strips.
                    The first tale, Take Me to Your Leader, sees Modesty
                    and Willie on the trail of a UFO mystery. When a number of
                    witnesses see a space vehicle land on an island and witness
                    a number of unexplained events it is obvious that we have
                    been visited by aliens from another planet... or is it. Despite
                    a world famous professor, who is a nonbeliever, having witnessed
                    this strange phenomenon Modesty is not so sure. Will her digging
                    reveal the truth?
                  This
                    is, to my mind, by far the best story in the collection. There
                    is actually some real mystery here and I really was unsure
                    as to what was going on. Surely there weren't really aliens
                    landing on earth, but then with so many witnesses, and so
                    many strange happenings, there was no way it could have been
                    a hoax.
                  In
                    Highland Witch the duo have to save a young girl and
                    her family and receive more than a little help from the Highland
                    Witch; and finally in Cry Wolf, Sir Gerald Tarrant
                    tries to hoodwink Modesty and Willie with a false kidnapping,
                    but when a real kidnapper strikes all hell breaks loose.
                  Extra
                    content in this collection comes in the form of an introduction
                    by Russell Mael, of the band Sparks, on how he almost wrote
                    the theme tune to a Modesty Blaise TV series in 1981
                    - a series that was never made; an interview with Peter O'Donnell;
                    a collection of drawings from Enric Badia Romero's sketchbook;
                    and introductions to each tale by O'Donnell.
                  Another
                    cracking collection for Modesty fans.
