For sports fans, particularly tennis buffs, this was what
the gaming world had been waiting for. That game was Top
Spin. Now, three years later, it has been improved and
reintroduced to the market as Top Spin 2.
Before
you start playing you are given the option of creating your
own character. If you are prepared to spend a bit of time
on this, you can easily create a passable likeness to yourself
- which makes the actual gameplay that bit more fun. While
here you can also choice to alter your talents - although
to be honest these are all abilities that you improve during
the main game.
Career
mode is the core of this game. Your goal is to rise through
the ranks to the number one seed. You get the option to train,
play a game, and enter an event as you attempt to climb up
the ladder. And you can even have a go at beating one of your
tennis heroes - although you'll need to put in a bit of practice
if you are to stand any chance of even returning the ball,
let alone win.
There
are a number of fun multiplayer games too (time bomb, wall
breaker, and splash court) which help to keep this game fresh,
fun and addictive.
At
the end of the day this is about the best tennis game on the
